About us
Vietnamese Family Partnership (VFP), known in Vietnamese as Gia Đình Việt, is a grassroots charity based in London, dedicated to supporting the Vietnamese community and promoting a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture. We are also the parent organisation of VietSchool London.
Though VFP was officially established in 2019, our roots go much deeper. Our founder and CEO, Quynh Giao Nguyen, has been a central figure in the local Vietnamese community for over 20 years—organising cultural events, teaching at our Vietnamese school, and originally founding a Vietnamese women’s charity that has since grown into VFP.
Today, we offer a range of services tailored to the needs of our community. These include our Advice & Support Centre, providing help with essential issues such as housing, health, and welfare, and our Language School, offering both Vietnamese and English classes to support cross-generational learning and integration.
Our calendar features key cultural events that bring people together, including our flagship Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. These events regularly attract thousands of attendees and have been recognised in local media.
At VFP, we are proud to be a trusted, culturally-rooted space where Vietnamese people of all ages can feel connected, supported, and empowered.
Our Mission
To bring the Vietnamese community together and help them to thrive in wider British society and beyond and to champion Vietnamese culture in the UK.
Our Vision
To build a strong, connected Vietnamese community in the UK—where every generation, from elders to young people, feels empowered to thrive, contribute, and carry forward a legacy of support for future generations and diasporas.
Our Values
Identity
We support individuals in (re)connecting with their Vietnamese roots—through language, culture, and shared history. Whether you are overseas-born, British Vietnamese, or simply interested in Vietnam, we provide opportunities to explore and celebrate Vietnamese identity.
Community
We are a welcoming, trusted space where people with a shared love for Vietnamese heritage can come together, feel a sense of belonging, and grow. We also help our community members navigate life in the UK by connecting them with essential local services and support.
Diversity & Inclusion
We respect and welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, and beliefs. While our focus is the Vietnamese diaspora, we are inclusive in spirit and practice—offering help where we can, and signposting to trusted partners when we can’t. Our goal is to uplift, not exclude.
